General Summary

We are in search of an experienced inside sales professional whose focus is to uncover, cultivate, and close new account business. Ideally, this individual will have solid experience in selling environmental services / technologies with the communication skills necessary to working effectively with enterprises of all sizes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell Tersus groundwater, water and soil applications to national and regional consulting firms.
  • Actively make outbound calls to potential customers concerning our core product offerings to continue to build pipeline and opportunities.
  • Guide clients through an effective sales process, which includes qualification, demonstration, technical conversations, proposal submitting, and final negotiation.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to discuss both product and feature benefits and tie the solution to overall business benefits.
  • Use Tersus’ CRM tools to manage activity, capture data, and track the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Close sales, meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Work to quickly understand the business, product capabilities and on an ongoing basis grow your understanding of customer’s compelling events, critical success factors, and create a sales campaign appropriate to this knowledge (i.e. Solution Selling).
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity, forecast reports, and present key account opportunity plans.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Ability to identify customer needs and effectively move the sales process along over the phone and in person
  • Success in selling environmental technologies
  • Experience selling to national and regional consulting firms
  • Proficient use of MS Office and CRM

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering; Chemistry; Environmental Science; or Microbiology
  • Minimum of three to five years technical service experience in the environmental industry; remediation experience is strongly preferred and soil and/or groundwater experience is ideal
  • A demonstrated ability to write and present clear, organized and informative business communications and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to achieve goals independently
  • Excellent time management skills
