ISCR combines both biological processes and zero valent iron (ZVI) particle driven abiotic pathways to chemically reduce persistent organic compounds such as chlorinated solvents, pesticides and energetics into harmless end products. MicroEVO™ ISCR is composed of controlled-release water mixable oil (EDS-ER™) and ZVI particles used for the in situ treatment of groundwater and saturated soil. The incorporation of ZVI enhances chlorinated contaminant remediation by enabling various chemical reduction pathways.
