Safety Data Sheets

This section contains Safety Data Sheets for products supplied by Tersus Environmental, providing information relevant to product safety, handling, storage, and field application. Documents are organized by product category for ease of reference as follows:

  • Activators & Alkaline Reagents – Safety Data Sheets for alkaline activators and caustic reagents used for pH control and reaction initiation.
  • Electron Donors – Safety Data Sheets for carbon-based electron donor products used to support anaerobic bioremediation processes.
  • Nutrients & Amendments – Safety Data Sheets for nutrient salts and amendment products, including materials used to support biological and geochemical processes such as sulfate-enhanced bioremediation.
  • Surfactants & Solvents – Safety Data Sheets for surfactants and solvent-based products used to enhance amendment delivery and overall system performance.

Sub Categories

Activators & Alkaline Reagents
Safety Data Sheets for alkaline activators and caustic reagents used in environmental remediation for pH control, reaction initiation, and process optimization. These materials are commonly applied to adjust subsurface geochemistry, activate treatment amendments, or support in situ chemical and biological reactions. Products in this category are typically used to: Increase pH to create favorable reaction conditions Initiate or accelerate chemical activation processes Support treatment performance through controlled alkalinity Facilitate amendment activation during injection or mixing Due to their corrosive and reactive properties, materials in this category require appropriate handling, storage, and safety controls. Refer to the individual Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for detailed information on hazards, personal protective equipment (PPE), handling procedures, and regulatory considerations.
Bioaugmentation Products
This category includes microbial products formulated for use in environmental bioaugmentation applications, where selected microorganisms are introduced to enhance the biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons and related organic contaminants. Products in this category consist of preselected and adapted microbial consortia, including aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms, chosen for their ability to degrade a broad range of petroleum-derived compounds in soil, groundwater, and engineered treatment systems. Bioaugmentation products are typically applied as part of an integrated remediation program and may be used in conjunction with nutrients, electron donors, or other amendments. Refer to individual Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for guidance on handling, storage, personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental considerations.
Electron Donors
Safety Data Sheets for carbon-based electron donor products used to support anaerobic bioremediation processes.
Nutrients & Amendments
Safety Data Sheets for nutrient salts and amendment products, including materials used to support biological and geochemical processes such as sulfate-enhanced bioremediation.
Surfactants & Solvents
Safety Data Sheets for surfactants and solvent-based products used to enhance amendment delivery and system performance.
